Review: Oliveda – F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream

Share

Treating fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and other signs of aging is a daunting task since aging is a part of us. It’s not entirely a biological matter though. Intrinsic and extrinsic factors are culprits behind skin aging. Intrinsic aging occurs naturally based on genetics and there is nothing we can do about that. Otherwise, extrinsic aging stems from anything outside your body like environmental perils that exacerbate the symptoms of premature aging.

So, what we can do is to minimize the accelerated aging by practicing healthy lifestyle habits, while incorporating anti-agers in our everyday skincare rituals. In this post, I’m going to share my review on F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream by Oliveda. Let’s see whether it can spark skin rejuvenation or not.

Review Oliveda F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream

1. Enriched With Age-Defying and Moisturizing Agents of Plant Extracts

This face fixer promises to retain long-lasting moisture and leave a velvety feel to the touch. It delivers a concentrated botanical formula that claims to repel free radicals, stimulate cell turnover and hence, restore firmness and elasticity of the skin.

The main active ingredients are leaf cell extract and fruit oil of Olea Europaea, better known as the olive tree. It has long been one of the most wonderful botanical treasures for its medicinal qualities.

Olive leaves are abundant in Oleuropein and Hydroxytyrosol, possessing antioxidant, skin protective, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. The dermal absorption of olive leaf cell extract is known to encourage the proliferation of epidermal stem cells, promote the production of fibrillar proteins and trigger the skin to repair itself. Plus, it inhibits UV rays, pollution, and other external assaults from degrading the lipid barrier, increasing oxidative stress and accentuating early signs of aging.

Olive fruit oil nourishes the skin with emollient and anti-aging effects, thanks to its high level of fatty acids and phenolic compounds. It tends to ward off dryness that partially causes premature aging, reinvigorate the building blocks of the skin, reveal a healthy glow and reduce the depth of wrinkles.

Besides, the cream contains a proprietary blend of Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Viola Tricolor Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil and Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter. Packed with moisturizing, soothing, antimicrobial and anti-aging agents to plump skin texture, alleviate irritation, hold the skin’s natural oils and impart a moist, supple-looking complexion.

Loaded with plenty of powerful skin humectants (water-binding agents), including Betaine, Ubiquinone, Saccharide Isomerate, Pentylene Glycol, Lecithin, and Glycerin. They provide a large dose of hydration, but also motivate fibroblasts to synthesise collagen, which, in turn, accelerates skin regeneration and smoothes out fine lines.

Among those, both Ubiquinone and Betaine have calming abilities to relieve the skin’s sensitivity to external aggressors. Plus, Pentylene Glycol is secondarily used as a preservative in cosmetics due to its antibacterial effects.

Likewise, there is Tocopheryl Acetate (a form of vitamin E) as an antioxidant, an emollient and a skin protective agent. Theoretically, vitamin E helps reverse sun damage, neutralize free radicals and mitigate moisture-starved skin. Most of its typical forms can be either naturally (“D” prefix) or synthetically (“DL” prefix) derived.

The natural forms of Vitamin E (D-alpha-Tocopherol acetate, for example) are more effective than their synthetic equivalents (DL-alpha-Tocopherol acetate). However, the product description does not indicate whether it’s prefixed with “d” or “dl”.

Formulated with Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Sucrose Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Xanthan Gum and Cera Alba (beeswax). These multitaskers work as emulsifiers, stabilizers, thickeners, conditioners, film-formers and softeners. They are inclined to maintain the integrity of the formula, make it spread evenly and create a silky, occlusive coating to diminish transepidermal water loss.

There is Potassium Phosphate as a buffering agent or a pH adjuster. It helps maintain the stability of the formula and prevents an everyday application from disrupting the skin’s acid mantle.

Finally, the product includes Parfum (fragrance), which is considered to be a skin irritant.

2. Rich and Moisturizing – Suited for Dry, Compromised Skin

This heavy-duty moisturizer gives a sumptuous, creamy consistency with an opaque white color. A little goes a long way. When diffused on the skin, it gradually soaks in to release intense hydration without feeling suffocating or heavy. It feels amazingly moisturizing and soothing. The product instantly takes out dry, taut sensations after a cleanse, lubricates skin texture and delivers a soft radiance. Slather on the face cream as a final step in your everyday skincare routine to seal in moisture and keep your canvas intact.

I have been using the product for nearly two months. It has been my ideal winter skin savior to fight off the dreadful combination of frigid temperatures, indoor heating and low air humidity. I have to confess it works like a charm to banish my parched, lackluster skin and smooth some creases on my forehead and under my eyes.

My tenuous skin is sort of easily drained by exposure to UV rays and arid climate and winds up having red dry patches. The consistency is genuinely rich to beep up the emollient barrier, thwarting those lethal factors from leaving the skin stripped and agitated.

A week ago, I did not take care of my skin properly as I was quite occupied with my wedding planning and stress drove me insane. My face looked pretty haggard. Then, I get back to the face cream with a disciplined beauty routine and my skin becomes literally revived. I’m quite impressed that the product seems to be a quick fix for me. Within a few days, It helps visibly improve dullness and sagginess as well as make my skin glow. So far, it mitigates the appearance of cracks and fine lines.

Otherwise, the product might not work its way to treat hyperpigmentation or discoloration. To be frank, I barely see if it’s able to brighten my skin tone or bleach dark spots. For the time being, my concern would rather focus on acne scars. They are fading away day by day. Maybe that is also thanks to my vitamin C serum and chemical peel.

By the way, open pores have started to appear on my cheeks and nose in my late 20s. They are even more noticeable when I wake up every morning. The product doesn’t seem very good at shrinking the pores.

Oliveda F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream Skincare Review

In general, the anti-aging face cream caters to combination, dry and premature aging skin types, I suppose. Plus, I’d like to highly recommend it for folks who have tired, compromised skin.

If your skin is way on oily and acne-prone sides, the product may go overboard exacerbating excessive oil production and congestion. Regarding sensitive skin, it comes with some caveats. I’m quite at my wit’s end. Technically, the formula does contain fragrance that is bad news for those who have very upset skin.

Up to this point, I have not suffered from any allergic reactions, irritation, or breakouts though. In fact, the product does not give off any overwhelming scent. Anyway, for your safety, you should patch test it on the most sensitive area of your face within 24 hours.

It’s worth trading in your gel lotion for this whipped face cream during winter. Flaky skin runs rampant around this time of year. I apply it twice a day, daytime and nighttime. However, In hot weather, I will go right to a water-based moisturizer in the morning and next, stick to the Oliveda one in my pre-sleep skincare regimen.

Inside Oliveda F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream

3. An Elegant, High-Quality Glass Container

Housed in an amber glass jar ($59.95 per 50 ml). It’s meant to effectively preserve the stability and cleanliness of the face cream. I have always been enamored with cosmetic jars. They look classic and tough. On the flip side, you may not like the idea of dipping your fingers into it. That is going to spread germs inside the jar and spoil your entire product. So, I have to save a tiny spoon to scoop it out. I think the company should offer a plastic spoon in the package.

So, I’d like to give it 8 out of 10.

Hope that you will find my review informative enough on the F07 Anti-Aging Face Cream by Oliveda. Any ideas or questions, please feel free to let me know. I’m dying to hear you out. Thank you so much for being a part of this. I really appreciate that. Stay strong and stay beautiful, dreamers!
